Rebecca Belt of The Country Journo has been a country music journalist for more than 20 years, publishing her first story when she was 15 in a national newspaper. Since then she has served as the entertainment and country reporter at The Northern Daily Leader in Tamworth for 13 years, as a writer with Country Music Capital News and Country Update.

Rebecca is now a freelance journalist running her own business in Australia’s Country Music Capital. She specialises in telling the stories of rural Australia, whether that be the artists singing the songs about regional areas, those working on the land or the residents of regional towns and cities. Editing and proofreading are also her specialities and Rebecca has worked with clients from fiction authors to photographers.

The Country Journo has written biographies and press releases for clients including Golden Guitar winner Amber Lawrence, chart topper Clelia Adams, Simply Bushed and 2016 Southern Stars Awards Female Vocalist of the Year Seleen McAlister and ensures she meets all her clients needs on time with a focus on accuracy and achieving their media needs.
